In 1966, my grandfather was living in Lahore (city of Pakistan) and moved to Peshawar. He was one of the first 10 people who were doing gems business in those days, and then he spent his full life as a gemstones cutter. Then my father, who started gems cutting in his teenage years. I was born on 18 December 1981, and when I opened my eyes, I saw around rock & gems business. In my teenage years, my papa taught me how to cut. I told my papa that I want to become a gemstones businessman instead of a gems cutter like my father and grandfather. But my papa told me that I must learn gems cutting because it will help me when I do facet rough business. And today I am proud of my father who taught me how to facet gemstones, how to cut, and how to check facet rough. Now in 2021, when I am writing something about myself, I have traveled over 30 countries for gemstones business, gemstones buying trips, and gemstones exhibitions trips. I can say definitely that it’s very important for everybody who wants to do gemstones faceted or facet rough business must learn “how to cut gemstones.”
